This demonstrates that sustainability is not only important to us, but also structurally embedded in our business operations.

At Secusoft, we are constantly looking for opportunities to grow responsibly. Every new feature or expansion is implemented with sustainability in mind.

One of our most recent investments is the installation of an Energy Storage System (ESS). Thanks to this system, our office can operate largely independently from the electricity grid, a major step in reducing our ecological footprint. A sustainable and forward-looking approach

We make conscious choices in how we run our business for the planet and future generations. For example:

• Minimizing business travel: We avoid driving across the country for demonstrations or meetings. Instead, we provide software guidance digitally, e.g., via TeamViewer. This reduces CO₂ emissions.
• Digital-first administration: Our office uses minimal printing. Secusoft itself replaces stacks of paper forms, making workflows more eco-friendly.
• Sustainable office operations: Our office, where all support and software development takes place, uses only LED lighting, energy-efficient computers, and operates fully independently from the electricity grid through our ESS. Solar-generated energy is stored in four lithium batteries, ensuring continuous operations even during power outages.
• Solar panels: Our roof has 41 solar panels, producing enough electricity to power the office, charge the batteries, and feed excess energy back into the grid.

Real-time monitoring of consumption and production

In our office, we use a Victron Energy dashboard to monitor energy consumption and solar production in real time.

Key metrics include:

1. The grid meter, which tracks total consumption and solar feed-in.
2. PV inverters showing real-time output from our solar panels.
3. Important office loads, such as computers, network equipment, security systems, and coffee machines.
4. The PV battery charger, which manages direct charging from solar panels to batteries.
5. Four Pylontech US3000C lithium batteries, with real-time monitoring of charge and current.
6. The Victron Multiplus-II inverter/charger, converting battery 48V to 230V for office consumption.
7. Balanced AC loads for non-critical usage, with excess solar energy fed back to the grid or stored in batteries.

Our ESS system, operational since November 2022, helps us reduce our CO₂ footprint while ensuring continuous office operations, so we can always provide the support our customers expect.
